Concert: Kesivan and the Lights: Freedom Dance
With his drive and unmistakable instinct for sound and dramaturgy, the South African drummer Kesivan Naidoo channels the energy of his audience and puts the whole universe upside down sometimes. Together with sax player Charley Rose, guitarist Fabio Gouvêa, piano player Yuri Storione and bassist Joan Codina, he plays pieces from the album Brotherhood (2014). He makes that the voice of every one of his new “Basel” Brotherhood shines brilliantly in the framework of increasingly intensified harmonies and rhythms.
