Raffaele Perniola
Raffaele Perniola (he/him) received his master’s degree in history (major) and musicology (minor) from the University of Basel in 2020 and has been specializing in Namibian and Southern African history throughout his studies. Since 2015 he has participated in multiple projects and conferences on Namibian and South African history in both Switzerland and Namibia and has co-curated multiple exhibitions on Southern African history. He also collaborated with activists in Usakos (Namibia) on multiple occasions to jumpstart a new museum focused on 20th century Namibian history.
His research so far has touched on Namibian labour-, visual- and public history during the period of South African rule (1915–1990).
