Sindi-Leigh McBride
Sindi-Leigh McBride is a researcher and writer, and a PhD candidate at the Centre for African Studies, University of Basel. Her research looks at the politics and poetics of climate change in South Africa and Nigeria. She holds an MA in International Relations from the University of the Witwatersrand and an MA in Political Communication from the University of Cape Town. Before joining the University of Basel, she worked as a researcher at the South African Human Rights Commission, for the South African government and with various civil society organisations. Her essays, art writing and short stories have appeared in Africa's a Country, Kalahari Review, New Frame and more.
