Congratulations to our new graduates!
At the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, two of our MA students received their diplomas in African Studies alongside other young scholars from our wider network.
Congratulations to Xiao Meng and Julie Zingg who received their MA African Studies diploma on 16 September 2023!
Among the 60 graduates of the Faculty of Humanities there were six students (i.e., 10 percent of all graduates) who engaged with Africa-related topics, demonstrating the interest in and importance of the continent at the University of Basel. Congratulations therefore also go to Nuru Heritsialonina (Social Anthropology), David Maurer (Changing Societies), Naemi Meier (Art History), Ben Erpelding (History) and Florian Zenhäusern (History).
