Job: Child Protection Officer (MRM) (P-2), New York

Requirements:
- Strong interest in a longer term career with the United Nations
- Masters degree in international development, human rights, international law or social science field
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in human rights documentation, child protection and/or other related areas at the international level required, some of which preferably were served in a developing country (UNICEF counts internships at 100% if relevant and paid)
- Experience in program/project development & management, monitoring and reporting an asset
- Background/familiarity with the Monitoring and Reporting Mechanism (MRM) as it related to Children in Armed Conflict an asset.
- Strong drafting skills required
- Flexibility required to travel to country offices for short-term missions required
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of a second UN language
- Swiss nationality
- Not older than 32 years at the date of the first round of interviews
Duration:
- 2 year assignment (fixed-term contract)
