Comundo
Context:
Child protection remains a problem in Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Namibia because of inadequate legal protection and societal acceptance of these violations of children’s right. Many children in these countries live with physical abuse everyday disguised as discipline. On average three out of four children between the ages of 2 and 14 are subject to some form of violent discipline in their own home and much of this violence goes unreported and 42% of girls are married before the age of 18 (ZCEA, 2016)
