Job: JPO vacancy at WFP (World Food Programme) for Swiss nationals
Rome (first year) / Regional or Country Office (second year)
This position is financed by SDC (Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation).
Requirements:
- Strong interest in a longer term career with the United Nations
- Masters degree in business management, information technology, social science/humanities or relevant field(s)
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience in project management required. WFP counts internships at 100% if relevant and paid.
- Experience in Data Protection and/or Cash-based Transfers a strong asset.
- Experience in international cooperation (development or humanitarian cooperation) an asset.
- Proficiency in Windows MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of a second UN language
- Flexibility required to travel at short-notice and deploy to emergency contexts for short-term assignments.
- Swiss nationality
- Not older than 32 years at the date of the first round of interviews
WFP’s international professionals are required to serve in different locations around the world during the course of their career (including in hardship duty stations). Willingness to be mobile will maximise opportunities for long-term retention into the Organization.
Duration:
- 2 year assignment (fixed-term contract)
