  • proven familiarity with both postcolonial theory, including its history and variants, and established and new approaches in literary and cultural theory, as well as the ability to research and reflect upon postcolonial Anglophone cultures with regard to their regional specificities and global entanglements, as evidenced by the doctoral dissertation and further research outcomes (esp. publications);
  • documented aptitude in teaching Anglophone postcolonial studies;
  • a proven excellent command of English, and at least a basic command of German.

The post-holder will be expected to develop, guide or participate in research projects located in the context of the priority research areas identified at the school and university levels respectively, i.e. "Mobility/Transculturality" and "Diversity and Participation".
