Call for Applications for Research Grants: French Red Cross Foundation

The French Red Cross Foundation, a charitable foundation dedicated to supporting research about humanitarian and social aid by awarding research grants and prizes, has currently opened two Calls for Applications for research grants. The requirement for an application is a completed PhD.
The research question of the first Call for Applications is titled “Risks and catastrophes of natural origin: thinking about and dealing with disasters” and includes two research grants of 19’800 euros each. Research areas include the mainland of France, overseas territories, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Indian Ocean, and Lebanon.
The research question of the second Call for Applications is titled “Humanitarian transition: relationships and (inter)dependencies, a paradigm shift?” and includes one research grant of 18’000 euros. Research areas include Sub-Saharan Africa, Indian Ocean, overseas territories, and Lebanon.
Both calls close on 5 May 2024.

La Fondation Croix-Rouge française, fondation reconnue d’utilité publique dédiée au soutien à la recherche sur l’action humanitaire et sociale en attribuant des financements et prix de recherche, a ouvert deux appels à candidatures pour des bourses de recherche. Les candidat.e.s doivent être titulaires d'un doctorat.
Le premier appel à candidatures porte sur le thème "Risques climatiques et catastrophes : penser et affronter les désastres" et comprend deux bourses de recherche d'un montant de 19 800 euros chacune. Les zones de recherche comprennent la France métropolitaine, les territoires ultramarins, l'Afrique subsaharienne, l'océan Indien et le Liban.
Le second appel à candidatures porte sur le thème de recherche "Transition humanitaire : relations et (inter)dépendances, un changement de paradigme ?". Cet appel comprend une bourse de recherche de 18 000 euros. Ces thèmes pourront être abordés empiriquement en Afrique subsaharienne, dans l’océan Indien, les territoires ultramarins, ainsi qu’au Liban.
Clôture des deux appels le 5 mai 2024.
