Join PLAAS (Institute for Poverty, Land and Agrarian Studies) for a webinar on “Covid-19: A perspective from rural South Africa” featuring Constance Mogale (Alliance for Rural Democracy) and Laurel Oettle (LandNNES).
The speakers will give perspective on how the South African government's lockdown regulations have affected rural communities during this coronavirus epidemic. They will also unpack:
- What concerns do the rural communities have with regards to these imposed regulations?
- What are the short and long term implications for the rural communities?
- What recommendations do the rural communities have for government?
