For the past year, as the COVID-19 pandemic raged, the entire world followed closely the race to a vaccine. With monumental efforts on the part of scientists, governments, pharmaceutical companies, and other global health organizations, several viable vaccines have emerged with other promising ones still on the horizon. Making this vaccine a reality is an amazing feat that should be celebrated, however, as vaccine distribution ramps up, the world is now faced with a major moral and ethical dilemma.
