Am Zentrum für Afriksastudien ist Kadiatou Diallo als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin und Dozentin tätig: Von 2019 bis 2023 im Rahmen des Projekts Aesthetics from the Margins und seit 2024 als Teil des multidisziplinären Projects Inherited Futures. Objects, Time and Knowledge.

Ihr Forschungsschwerpunkt ist die Rolle künstlerischer Praktiken aus dem so genannten Süden (mit besonderem Schwerpunkt Afrika) als Mittel zur Wissenproduktion und in transormativen gesellschaftlichen Prozessen. Sie arbeitet an der Schnittstelle von Kunst, Kultur und Akademie. 

Kadiatou Diallo arbeitet ausserdem als Kuratorin, Vermittlerin und Beraterin, sowie als Fakultätsmitglied des MA in Public Spheres (MAPS) Programms an der édhéa (école de design et haute école d'art) in Sierre.
